The Snead State Community College Softball Program has planned three camps in May and June. To register, complete the form and submit it to Head Softball Coach Tracy Grindrod at tracy.grindrod@snead.edu.
Open Tryout | May 21, 2026; 6-8 p.m.
An open tryout for 2026 and 2027 high school graduates is set for May 21 from 6-8 p.m. at the Lady Parsons Softball Field. To register, complete the registration form and email it to Coach Grindrod at tracy.grindrod@snead.edu. Prospects must provide a copy of an updated physical to be eligible for the tryout.
Elite Prospect Camp (Ages 13-18) | June 8, 2026; 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
The Snead State Elite Camp will challenge you to learn new skills, improve your softball IQ and apply those tools in a competitive setting. You will have the opportunity to work with Snead State and the coaching staff on all phases of our sport: offense, defense, base running and pitching. Within each phase, you will learn and execute physical and situational drills to help you translate your softball skills and knowledge to winning games. These camps will also cover player development strategies that the Snead State softball staff use to train confident and successful student athletes. The cost is $120. One-Day Camp (All Ages) | June 15, 2026; Hitting, 9 a.m.-11 a.m.; Pitching/Catching Camp, 1-3 p.m.
The Snead State One-Day Camp is open to all ages. The camp will challenge you to learn new skills, improve your softball IQ and apply those tools in a competitive setting. You will have the opportunity to work with Snead State and the coaching staff on all phases of our sport: Hitting, Pitching, Catching and Defense. Within each phase, you will learn and execute physical and situational drills to help you translate your softball skills and knowledge to winning games. The Hitting Session will be from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. The Pitching and Catching session will be held from 1-3 p.m. The cost is $50 per session. To register, complete the registration form for the session you'd like to attend and email it to Coach Grindrod at tracy.grindrod@snead.edu.
