Jacob Hyde

Bio

Jacob Hyde was named as the Head Women's Basketball Coach at Snead State during the summer 2026.

He is no stranger to Snead State, having played for the Men's Basketball team from 2016-2018 and then serving as Men's Basketball Assistant Coach from 2022-2025. Prior to accepting the Head Women's Basketball Coach position, Coach Hyde served as the Men's Basketball Assistant Coach at Itawamba Community College.

During his tenure at Itawamba, the men's basketball team were the MACCC regular season champions, completing the season with a 24-7 record. He had three players selected as All Conference and one as Player of the Year.

As an assistant coach at Snead State, he boasted a 72-23 winning record with three consecutive ACCC Conference Championships and a National Tournament Appearance in 2022-2023. He was selected as Assistant Coach of the Year. He had two players selected as All American and six as All Conference. As a player, his team was the 2017-2018 Conference Champion, and he was named to the All-Tournament Team that same year. His team man a National Tournament Appearance in 2016-2017. His teams had a 44-19 winning record.

Coach Hyde graduated with an Associate in Science degree in Integrated Studies from Snead State in 2018. He transferred to Jacksonville State University, where he also played on the men's basketball team from 2018-2019. During that season, the team made it to the OVC Tournament Semifinals and completed the season with a 24-9 winning record. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Integrated Studies from JSU in 2022.
