Snead State Volleyball Celebrates Sophomore Night with Sweep

The Snead State Lady Parsons volleyball team celebrated Sophomore Night on Oct. 17, 2025, securing a straight-set victory over Lawson State Community College at home.

Snead State earned the sweep with set scores of 25–13, 25–17, and 25–18. Offensively, Snead State recorded 40 kills with a team hitting percentage of .216, while controlling the net with 11 total blocks. Tazi Harris led the attack with an impressive 11 kills and four block assists, finishing with a team-high 13.0 points. Liberty Shadix added nine kills, while Jazira Roberts contributed five kills, three service aces, and key defensive plays.

Setter Chloe May guided the offense efficiently, dishing out 18 assists, while Addison Layne added 17 assists and steady floor leadership. Defensively, Mallory Ackles anchored the back row with 11 digs, helping limit Lawson State's scoring opportunities throughout the match.

Snead State's serving pressure proved to be a difference-maker, as the Lady Parsons recorded 13 service aces, including four from Caroline Sticker and three from Roberts.

Lawson State was held to a .083 hitting percentage, as Snead State's defense and blocking consistently disrupted their offensive rhythm.
